So here are some long-awaited photos:
1) Motocross @ Sõmerpalu
As some of you might know – I have decided to develop or extend my photography skills. First test: Moving motorcycles.
It is really hard to get a sharp picture using AF so I tried to find a good spot, manually focus a spot where the driver with his bike should be and when it was time – take the shot. Here are the results:
As there were many distractions, I managed to take some other photographs as well.
Lesson learned: Choose the background wisely. (Blending colors).
Oops: AF decided that the driver and his bike are not important. (Shot with AI SERVO).
Benefits of the 300mm lens.
If your camera’s burst rate isn’t so good, you have to put your reflexes to the test.
Check every edge of your viewfinder!
2) Rally Estonia 2014
Test number two – moving cars, flying rocks and dust. By the way – A historic Porsche that passed me during the 2nd stage threw a rock at me … and broke my glasses. Fortunately they are still usable. Maybe I’ll add a picture of my glasses too.
That’s it. Stay tuned!
