Is it raining, love?

While the man is slaving away in the pouring rain, the woman sits in her comfortable warm car. At least he is happy ūüôā

To be fair – I was also busy doing garden work, it’s just that I was closer to the car when the rainfall hit.

An update of sorts

Sorry for abandoning you for such a lengthy time, again! Life has been hectic as always and the camera has been left in it’s camera bag for far too long.

Recently I had the crazy idea of trying to re-establish a flower garden at my grandfather’s house. This meme is more than accurate when it comes to me and gardening:

But I am very enthusiastic, so expect to see many pictures of half dug up plots and dead plants as I try to figure it out as I go along.

We even took the cat with us today, she enjoyed it immensely (and is sound asleep at home right now, with any luck our wake-up call will be later than 8 a.m. tomorrow). Or at least I hope she did.

I hope you are all enjoying Spring as much as I am (I even wrecked my knee while orienteering a few days ago – a clear sign that better weather is to come)!

Forgotten

When the farm was built, the river was probably the fastest and easiest connection route to the nearest city (Tartu). Nowadays, the place is nearly deserted. No-one wants to live in the middle of nowhere, no matter how beautiful the sights are.

P.s. Notice how people back then were clever enough to build their houses higher up, so that they wouldn’t be affected by flood waters?

Taking Cover

Poor bumblebees. It was +18C and sunny on Saturday, everything came alive. And then on Sunday we were presented with rainfall and miserable coldness. This little thing decided to hide in a daffodil and wait it out. Hopefully the weather will improve soon.

Standing Strong

The new school year began, and it was as if summer hadn’t happened at all – a blink of an eye and I was back in the dreaded classroom.¬†This, together with moving to a new apartment; work commitments; crippling migraines; and all sorts of other things to take up one’s time, creates a situation, where the last post in this blog was nearly a month ago and I haven’t picked up the camera even once in the meantime. There’s still even a backlog of stuff from the summer I would like to share, but I simply¬†haven’t had the time to organise any of it.

I have no idea when I will manage to get into some kind of a routine that will¬†allow me to enjoy things that I actually like¬†doing, so I won’t be making any promises about when you can expect me to begin updating this thing regularity again. All I wanted to say is that firstly, I’m sorry about the unexpected hiatus and secondly, I hope you will bear with me and not give up just yet! Keep checking back and¬†I promise, one day soon, I will surprise you all with a ton (or a little less) of new posts! You can even drop a comment and let me know what would you especially like to see here?

Have a nice autumn and see you soon!

The Tail of a Wet Pussy

IMG_4254_1024Once upon a time, on a warm day in May, a plan of going on a fishing adventure was formed. But feeling remorseful about leaving our cat at home alone, we figured we would bring her with us.

In our defence, she is our first cat, having only owned dogs previously, and dogs LOVE to go on road trips. She fetches toys, much like a dog, so why wouldn’t she enjoy an afternoon by the lake?

Well, I can tell you why she didn’t enjoy it – why, it’s because she fell in the water, that’s why!

I was too busy laughing (after I had made sure she wasn’t drowning, of course) to take a proper picture, so this is the only shot I got, but I think it portrays her feelings about the situation quite well.¬†

She enjoyed the rest of the outing a lot more, after learning that water is indeed wet.

Summer Is Ending

IMG_7235

We have spent the past few days in and around of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. Soon, I will upload a gallery of what I have seen so far, but until then I leave you with this thought – the 1st of September is only 12 days away…

Depressing, isn’t it?
